Background
Dr. D'Apuzzo is a board certified orthopedic surgeon and an Associate Professor of Clinical Orthopedics at the University of Miami specializing in hip and knee replacements. He received his medical degree from the Universidad Central de Venezuela, Luis Razetti School of Medicine with honors. He them completed his internship and first first half of his residency at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester MN. He finalized his training at the University of Virginia followed by a fellowship in adult hip and knee reconstruction at Hospital for Special Surgery in New York City, where he was awarded the Clinical Excellence Award and the prestigious John Insall Award by The Knee Society.
